The idea of communication for Ciro Marcondes Filho: His trajectory in the Working Group Epistemology of Communication of Compós

Abstract

The paper investigates the concept of communication and the contributions to the studies of communication proposed by Ciro Marcondes Filho throughout the seven works of this author, approved in the Working Group Epistemology of Communication of Compós, from 2011 to 2020. The text highlights three main axes: epistemological/ontological, methodological and empirical treatment, and mobilization of references and theoretical foundation. The first shows the author’s negative notion of communication, as well as its impossibility. The second emphasizes the researcher’s “metaporic method” and its dynamism to apprehend the communicational phenomenon as a communicational event. Finally, the third highlights the main authors cited by Ciro and how they support this author’s concept of communication, developed in the decade of 2010.
